Yale Legacy Partners—Annual Celebration 2008

On May 16, 2008 the Yale Legacy Partners Annual Luncheon will take place at noon in the Berkeley College Dining Hall, 205 Elm Street, New Haven. The event will be hosted by Inge T. Reichenbach, Vice President for Development. Bruce Alexander '65, Vice President for New Haven and State Affairs and Campus Development, will be the keynote speaker. Following the luncheon, a narrated bus tour of Yale's newly acquired West Campus will be offered.

Some of the Chicago area alumni and friends who attended the April 2, 2008 reception.

“Finance, Family and Philanthropy: Planning For Maximum Benefits” is a regional seminar series designed to bring together Yale Legacy Partners and other alumni and friends of the University to examine creative and tax-efficient ways to both provide for family members and support charitable priorities.

Hosted by local Yale volunteers, each event includes an informative presentation by Eileen B. Donahue, University Director of Planned Giving, as well as an opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow alumni and friends.

On February 28, Robert P. Breault '62 and Hugh C. Thompson III '57,'61 M.D. hosted a gathering in Tucson at the Arizona Inn. Dr. Richard Ya Deau'53 welcomed attendees the next day at a luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.

Sally and Richard Phelps '50 graciously greeted guests at an evening cocktail reception at Club Colette in Palm Beach on March 3, and most recently, Paul Gignilliat '53 and his daughter Suzanne Gignilliat '80 welcomed a group of thirty five at the Union League Club of Chicago on April 2.

Carol and Douglas Melamed '67 will be hosting a Washington, D.C.–area seminar at their home on May 14, and plans are underway for gatherings in Boston, Palm Springs, and Los Angeles in the fall.
